The Lady Anderson dinner cruise yacht will be leaving Panama City Beach in
September for its new home in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
The Anderson
family is selling the ship to a catering company there that will begin its own
dinner cruises.
The Lady Anderson has been operating out of the Capt.
Anderson's Marina for the last 20-years. Thousands of people have taken part in
one of the dinner cruises or the daytime tour cruises.
The Massachusetts
buyers were hoping to get the Lady Anderson in June. But the Andersons wanted to
finish the summer and keep the ship for their 40th anniversary.
Capt. Ken
Anderson told NewsChannel 7 they'll continue to operate several other boats at
the marina. "We still will be in the boat business. We have three other boats in
the marina to look after, so we'll still be doing the fishing and the Shell
Island and dolphin cruises,
Suzie Anderson Cox, General Manager, told us,
"We'll be running for the next 8 weeks through September 26th and we're hoping
that our loyal customers will come out one more time and cruise with us. We'll
be running Wednesday through Saturday through September 26th. "
The
Anderson's will begin listing specials on their Facebook for locals who want to
take one last cruise on the Lady Anderson. The final local voyage is scheduled
for September 26th.
